Where has this Freeware App been for 4 years..

Updated: Mar 12

As you know my FPS has been OK but it would on occasion jump around for some techy reason. One day it would be 50 FPS the next day it would be 35FPS with the same situation loaded I could never understand it even though I tried I am not an computer wizz. So when I heard about this freeware I could not wait to try it out. After watching some content from Simhanger who introduced me to this I could not wait to download it. I installed it yesterday which was very easy. The great thing is it sits outside of MSFS as a stand alone App so use it or not but its there if you need it. This really is an amazing Freeware app for MSFS. It is so far a real game changer for me as I search for the elusive steady FPS. (So you can find it here if you just want to get started) but I would recommend watching the Youtube video from Simhanger to get an idea what it does and the best way to get your FPS.

Its Called AutoFPS for MSFS it is available free from GitHub click here to go to the download site. Scroll down until you get to "MSFS_AutoFPS-installer-v0.4.1.exe" click to down load it and accept all the security stuff. Make sure you extract the file afterwards and enjoy stutter free MSFS with amazing FPS.

I will update this post as I get used to it and try it out more..

Update #1

Well I have been using it for a couple of days now. Like most I think will do, I set my target FPS too high I aimed for 45 when I should have aimed for 35. Setting it to 45 meant that the App struggled to find the headroom to fit in my request, in any steady way. Occasionally it would reach 45 in less dense areas then it would drop out again. Now I have set it to 35 I am getting a steady 45-50FPS at my favourite airport Denham (see pic below) in the A2A PA24, where before I could only achieve 32 FPS max. I helped things a little though by removing the Great Britain Mesh by Orbx as I think that was putting too much strain on my PC.

Chasing the elusive best FPS rate.

Well I do seem to have doing this sort of thing now for the past 4 years, chasing my FPS. I keep telling myself not to worry too much about it and that mid 30FPS is fine for what I need. But strangely
